Nested Design

Two-way ANOVA (nested) requires a balanced nested design.

For this design, Factor 2 is nested within Factor 1. Factor 2 levels occur for only one level of Factor 1. This is the difference between nested and crossed designs, where every level of Factor 1 occurs in combination with every level of Factor 2.

Quantum XL expects data for two-way ANOVA in a stacked format. Three columns are required: columns for Factor 1, Factor 2, and for the Response. Data in Factor 1 and Factor 2 can be numerical, text, or a combination of both. Response data must be all numerical.

Select three data columns and use 'Group By' data source.

Enter Response column name in 'Data column' field, and Factors columns in 'Group By' and '... then Group By' fields.
