Modify Analysis

Modify Analysis allows you to change the analysis options after the analysis has been created.

When to Use Modify Analysis

Use Modify Analysis when you need to:

  • Change analysis options (chart formatting, grouping, statistical settings)
  • Modify the data range or orientation

How It Works

  1. Select the analysis worksheet — Click anywhere on a worksheet that was created by a Quantum XL analysis tool

  2. Click Modify Analysis — On the Quantum XL ribbon, click Modify Analysis

  3. Modify your analysis settings — Press Back if you want to modify the data selection settings

  4. Make your changes — Adjust any options as needed

  5. Click Finish — The old worksheet is replaced with the new analysis results

Changing the Data Range

To change the data range or orientation:

  1. In the analysis dialog, click the Back button
  2. This returns you to the VBA range selection interface
  3. Select a new data range, change headers, or modify the data orientation
  4. Click Next to return to the analysis options
  5. Complete your changes and click Finish

Update Analysis vs. Modify Analysis

Update Analysis extends the existing data and keeps all options the same. Modify Analysis allows you to modify the settings.
