Supported Excel Functions

Quantum XL evaluates a simulation one of two ways: with Excel's own calculation engine, or with the Quantum XL Banyan-Tree Math Parser, which is more than 100 times faster.

This page lists the Excel functions the Banyan-Tree Math Parser reads. A model built from these functions runs in the Quantum XL Banyan-Tree Engine (Fast Mode).

A model that uses a function which is not on this list still simulates. It runs in Native Mode - Excel Calculated Monte Carlo instead, where Excel recalculates the whole workbook once for every simulation. Validate Model reports which of the two a given model will use, and names any formula the engine cannot read.

The functions

There are 89, grouped the way Excel groups them and alphabetical within each group.
