Options¶
This command has no dialog of its own. It runs on the active sheet and takes everything it needs from that sheet and from the settings below, so there is nothing to fill in when you start it.
It is Run Regression with one difference: the coding instructions on the design sheet are ignored and the X matrix is built from the factors' own values, so everything on Run Regression > Options applies here too.
The setting that matters most here¶
Show P-Value for the uncoded regression is off by default, so an uncoded regression leaves its P column empty and writes a notice saying so. Turning it on prints the p values.
A custom design is exempt from that suppression and prints its p values whatever the setting says.
The settings that govern it¶
These live on the Regression page of QXL DOE New > Options, they are remembered between sessions, and they apply to every workbook. Each is described in full on DOE Options.
| Setting | What it changes here |
|---|---|
| Display DOE Advisor on regression sheet | whether the Advisor block is written below the regression |
| Display comments in the regression sheet | whether each statistic carries a cell comment |
| Show P-Value for the uncoded regression | whether an uncoded regression prints its P column |
| Use weighted S-Hat regression | stored, and changes no result. See DOE Options |
| Hierarchy warnings | whether a model holding an interaction without its main effects is objected to |
